The World Atlas

Formed in the late 2000s in New York City as an evolution of bedroom demos by frontman Brian Groux, World Atlas brings their Orchestral Indie-Pop to the stage with songs from their self-titled EP (2010) and full-length album, Slow Love (2023). With a seven-member line up, the Brooklyn band weaves together stories of the cityscapes and dreamstates with boy / girl harmonies, sweeping choruses, subtle trumpet melodies, shimmering vibraphone, lush strings and dual tambourines in the tradition of artists like Belle & Sebastian, Jens Lekman, Beck, The New Pornographers, and The Magnetic Fields.

Having toured the UK, the Eastern US, and played festivals and events including NYC Popfest, Athens Popfest (GA), Northside Festival (NYC), CMJ (NYC), International Riverside Festival (UK) and the US Open (NYC), World Atlas are in the studio working on their third release, “Before You’re Awake,” and looking forward to heading out on tour in Summer 2024.

Current members: Brian Groux (main vox / rhythm guitar), Aaron Waldman (keys / backing vox), Lily Ellis (vox / tambourine), Grady Walker (bass), Sam Kanoff (lead guitar / backing vox), Andy Zehnal (drums / percussion), and Ron Harter (trumpet / vibraphone / aux percussion)
