WORLD ATLAS

World Atlas is a seven-piece Brooklyn-based chamber-pop band led by songwriter Brian Groux. Since forming in 2006, the group has explored the intersection of classic pop structure and expansive orchestration, incorporating trumpet, vibraphone, organ, harmonica, timpani, orchestral bells, and layered vocal harmonies into their arrangements. Their sound has drawn comparisons to early Belle & Sebastian, The Magnetic Fields, and Jens Lekman — melodic, narrative-driven songs presented with careful detail and ensemble interplay.

The band’s self-titled EP was released in 2010 on Magic Marker Records and supported with a UK tour and appearances at NYC Popfest, Athens Popfest, CMJ, Northside Festival, and the Stockton International Riverside Festival. After a period of hiatus, World Atlas reconvened in 2022 with a renewed lineup and released the full-length Slow Love in 2023.

Their 2026 EP, Radio Amateurs, marks a further expansion of their chamber-pop language — embracing dynamic range, orchestral color, and live performance as central elements of the project.
